SIGMA Luna Type W Tower Chassis Review

Model:  LUNA-WB

Manufacturer:  SIGMA

Provider:  SIGMA

When it comes to computer cases, you almost always end up taking a gamble.  You never seem to have the best of both worlds and there is always some sort of compromise.  Whether you are after the highest quality case, one offering the highest number of features or strictly after the most aesthetically pleasing chassis, there's always a fine line between all.  After taking a look at a number over the years, I have found that you need to determine which of these is most important before deciding on one that will run your high-end components.  The product we look at here focuses primarily on one of these areas and that is style.  Sigma, a sister company of RaidMax, offers a number of cases that strictly focus on design and most are a bit out of the ordinary.  One such case is the Luna Type W sent over for review.  Let's have a detailed look...

The very first thing that shocked me was just how light the box was.  Mind you, it does appropriately come double-boxed, a necessity for cases based on past experience with many shippers.  The Luna comes with a brief owner's manual, product brochure and a white box including your installation hardware.  If you opt for the window model, it does come shipped with the side panel and windows accents protected via a layer of thin plastic.

Design - A Quick Glance

I would like to once again comment on its weight.  This is, by far, the lightest mid-tower chassis I have ever seen.  It is remarkably light despite the thick and sexy aluminum front panel that it features.  The Type W sports a side panel window that is accented by some metal-like arrow shaped place holders.  These are definitely not what they seem and I'll cover that in the next section.  The back is fairly standard but I'm sure you noticed by now one very apparent difference that I will elaborate on in the next section.
