If you're looking for ultimate quality and
performance in a PSU, a number from Silverstone are an excellent option.
From design and features, to quality and performance, it is apparent that
they are built to impress. In fact, I've used many other high-quality
units and they certainly deserve to be put in the same level as the big boys
that some enthusiasts would normally think of first when on the market for
one. This is apparent in each that I have had the pleasure to test or
use over the years as an IT professional. The last one I looked at
from them was a very unique model targeted primarily at HTPC enthusiasts.
The latest one I have the pleasure of showing you is a brand spanking new
addition to their reliable Strider Series, the ST70F. Appropriately
found in their ultra-silent line of power supplies, this new model
differentiates from a majority in a number of areas, including a fully
modular design and a ultra-silent, ultra-large 135mm fan designed
for maximum airflow without compromises.

As with all their products, the packaging is
quite appealing and does provide plenty of info regarding its features. The unit is well packaged and comes bundled with a
thorough manual, quick start guide and standard power cable. However,
I was quite surprised when opening the box and finding plenty of extras as
well...

In addition, Silverstone also includes both
standard and thumb-style screws as well as two different types of cable
management options. This includes standard tie wraps as well as larger,
reusable Velcro straps. Finally, they include an optional 8-pin PCI-E
cable to ensure support for the latest hardware on the market. You don't typically
find this much bundled with a PSU and it was certainly a minor but
pleasant finding.
